Vape web design FAQs
Can a vape shop sell online in the UK?
Yes. Nicotine vape products can be sold online to adults, with age verification and within the TRPR product rules (20mg/ml maximum nicotine, 10ml maximum nicotine-containing bottles, 2ml tanks). Disposable vapes have been banned from sale since June 2025. Advertising those products on online media is restricted, but factual information on your own site is permitted.
Do I need an age verification service, or is a pop-up enough?
A pop-up age gate is the minimum. Many acquirers and an increasing number of regulators expect verified checks at checkout or delivery, so we usually integrate a third-party age verification service and “age verified on delivery” shipping. We’ll advise based on your acquirer’s requirements.
Which payment providers accept vape shops?
Not Shopify Payments, Stripe or PayPal (without special approval). Specialist high-risk gateways and acquirers do. See payment gateways.
Can you migrate our existing vape store?
Yes — products, customers, order history and URLs, with redirects so you don’t lose rankings. We do this regularly for shops leaving platforms that have turned hostile to the category.
