Cannabis & hemp · UK
Digital services for the wider cannabis & hemp sector
Beyond CBD, the UK has a real and growing cannabis economy: medical cannabis clinics and pharmacies, hemp growers and processors, seed banks, grow shops, headshops, vaporiser and accessory brands, media and advocacy. Each has its own legal boundaries and its own difficulty finding a digital partner who understands them.

Learn moreDesigning for the UK legal position
Most cannabis web design references come from North America, where dispensaries advertise openly. In the UK, cannabis remains a controlled drug; CBD and hemp products are legal within limits; medical cannabis is prescription-only through specialist clinics; seeds are sold as collectables; and accessories are legal to sell but treated as high-risk by payment providers. A site that ignores those distinctions will struggle with payments, platforms and, potentially, the law.
We design and write for that reality: clear separation of information from products, no promotion of illegal use, no medicinal claims, correct framing for seeds and accessories, and professional presentation that helps underwriters and regulators see a legitimate business.
Cannabis & hemp FAQs
Can a medical cannabis clinic have a website and market itself?
Clinics can publish factual information about their services, conditions they treat and how to be assessed, but cannot advertise prescription-only medicines to the public. Organic search, content and referrals are the main channels; we build sites and content around those constraints.
Will payment providers accept a seed bank or headshop?
Mainstream providers usually won’t. Specialist high-risk acquirers often will, depending on how products are presented. We arrange and integrate them — see payment gateways.
Can hemp and cannabis businesses use Google Ads?
Generally no; policies prohibit cannabis-related products and most accessories. Some purely informational or B2B hemp advertising may be possible but is unreliable. SEO, AEO, PR and industry channels are the dependable routes.
